    A group of girls as young as 12 have been caught in relation to a string of break ins and a ramraid in Christchurch in the early hours of Saturday. 

    A supermarket, fish and chip shop and dairy in Christchurch were all targeted by the alleged thieves.

    A group of girls, two aged 12, one 14-year-old and one 15-year-old were caught at 10.15am on Saturday after a report about driving behaviour from a member of the public, a police spokesperson said.

    They failed to stop when signalled by police and the vehicle was spiked near Lincoln. It came to a stop on Jack Hinton Dr.

    Karina Huang has only just recovered after 12 people took one minute to steal over $10,000 worth of products after ram-raiding her Christchurch vape store.

    A month to the day since that happened on March 27, her store has been targeted again.

    About 6.30am on Friday, four people broke into the store and caused “a lot more damage”.

    ”Last time looked like a training exercise – these people knew what they were doing and what they were after.”

    Ramraids and burglaries were becoming an “epidemic” in the city, she said.

    The vape stores have continued to be targeted in the South Island’s metro city with yet another ram raided on Friday morning.

    Alex Vape Specialists in Northlands had its front entrance smashed in by a vehicle at 5am, police responded shortly afterwards after reports of a burglary.

    An all-glass window front has been cracked open with glass strewn across the ground and stock inside the store littered.

    Ram-raid thieves have torn through a shopping centre in East Auckland overnight – leaving behind a gaping hole at one of the mall’s entrances.

    Staff at the Pakuranga Plaza, on Aylesbury St, will be faced with the severe damage early this morning after the incident late last night.

    Police, a security guard and at least one staff member from the plaza were at the scene about midnight.

    They could be seen surveying the damage caused by a vehicle that smashed through one of the plaza’s entrances before ramming through a jewellery shop inside.
